What We Paint Inside Your Home

Walls and Ceilings

Walls and ceilings are often where small marks, holes and cracks show the most. We prepare these surfaces so the finished paint looks clean and even.

Doors, Door Frames and Skirting Boards

Doors, door frames, skirting boards and other trims are prepared and painted with care so edges are clean and the finish suits the rest of the room.

Single Rooms or the Whole Interior

Whether it's one bedroom, a hallway and living area, or every room in the house, the work is planned around the space and the scope of the job.

Fixtures and Related Items

Suitable building fixtures, fittings and related items can also be prepared and painted as part of the job. We'll confirm what's suitable when we look at the work.

Colour Advice for Your Rooms

Not sure which colours will work? We can provide colour advice to help you choose colours and finishes that suit each room, the light it gets and how it's used, so the result works with the rest of your home.

Preparation Comes First

Good preparation is what makes an interior finish look right. Where needed, we:

  • fill small holes and fix screw or nail marks

  • repair minor surface cracks and damaged areas

  • patch, sand and smooth surfaces so the repair blends in

This is the same patch and paint approach we use for small repairs. If an area needs more attention than expected, we'll let you know and discuss it with you before moving ahead.

The Right System for Each Surface

Plaster walls, previously painted surfaces and timber all behave differently, so each may need different preparation, a different primer or a different paint. We assess each surface and its condition, then recommend a system that suits it. Dulux is our preferred paint.

Protecting Your Home While We Work

Before painting begins, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces are covered and protected according to the type of work being done. Our aim is to look after your home throughout the job, not just the walls we're painting.

Brush, Roller or Spray?

Spray painting is available for suitable surfaces and projects, but it isn't used automatically. The method depends on the surface, the surrounding area and what's right for your project, and we'll talk it through with you.

Painting Interiors in Older Homes

Federation and period interiors often have decorative ceilings, timber joinery and many layers of previous paint. See heritage and Federation house painting for how we approach older homes.
